Wow, can you imagine spending the evening with this person? I had a headache just standing next to his car.
Of course my favorite one is:
‘I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe’
I am not sure there is anything else I can say to top that.

Yes, Dr. Jimmy, this is the post you have been waiting for.
A perfect summer day in Lake George. You:
A) rent a boat
B) have drinks at The Sagamore
C) play Goony Golf
By the title of this post you know that the answer is C but you can’t for the life of you understand why it won out of A and B. Here are just a few examples why:
Mother (strangling the) Goose.
Mary (the proctologist) had a little lamb.
And of course the proverbial Black Hole. I am pretty sure I have a dozen or so single socks somewhere in there.
Oh, and in case you were wondering…
Not going to lie, a good time was had by all. But next year…
it’s either A or B, hands down.

… is a woman.
I thought the saying was, ” If the Queen had balls she would be King”.
But this sign was found somewhere in the Village and many a queen has balls there, so I suppose this clarified it all.
My daughter sent me this picture on my phone late last night. I thought this was some performance art or protest that she was passing on the street and found it quite amusing.
Until this morning when it became infinitely more comical when she told me this was a sign that she and her friends found in the garbage and it was actually them who were holding it up for her to take the picture.
Yup, this one is my kid for sure. There is no denying that!

Tonight, being Wednesday, was another installment of the River to River Festival and we had a blast at the Burning Spear concert. Reggae brings out all kinds. Free reggae takes it to the next level.
We were standing directly behind a most joyful man who did not stop moving the entire show. He was soaked like he just came out of spin class. He smiled the entire concert and I am pretty sure he enjoyed the show more than anyone else there.
The best part of this guy was his shoes. Rastah Nikes. Gotta love them.
One love all you roots rock reggae peops out there. Sorry if you missed the show, that old man can still get the crowd going.

Every morning I start my day with a walk. I take the dog, or she takes me, and we both make sure that the other gets a little exercise before getting down to the business of the day. I play little games with myself to stay entertained. Some days I set out to connect with at least 3 people on my walk since I work alone and feel the need for eye to eye contact. Ok, so that is a little weird.
But not as weird as today’s garbage find. This was not the first stuffed animal that got tossed today but it was surely the most majestic. This time of year in the suburbs it is not odd to find all sorts of things you would find in a cluttered kids room out in the trash. This phenomenon is what is known as the room purge. It is done when the kids leave for camp. While they are not present we dump all the crap they will never miss.
As I stopped to take this picture with my phone, the dog did a little business of her own. A car passed by while she was in mid-squat and then stopped at the corner and stayed there. I did not think much about it as I sent the picture to both twitter and facebook on my phone. Yeh, I know, no need to comment on the tech addiction.
As I neared the corner the woman rolled down the passenger window and shouted out at me, “Don’t you think you need to go and pick up after your dog?” Mind you, I have the little plastic bone with the doody bags on the leash, I ALWAYS pick up after my dog.
Me: “Um, lady, she only peed”
Lady: “Oh, never mind.” And she drove away.
How’s that for some human connection. Jeez!

Ok, it is really the F and the V, but when you walk past it quickly and maybe squint a little it looks like the FU and it made me laugh.
I also like the bumper sticker ‘I am second’. Correct me if I am wrong but is this something to brag about? Don’t we strive to be first? Me first, first in line, firstborn, first class… you get my drift.
A little digging (or shall I say googling) and I found out that I Am Second is some sort of christian movement. Although the religious piece kind of creeps me out is not my cup of tea, their mission is kind of cool. An inspiring reach out to others sort of thing.
Which seems rather ironic since it was posted at the FU station. (what? Am I the only one that calls it that?)

Once again, Joyce is bird-dogging great shots for me. My motto: if you can’t get out of the basement, make sure that your friends can. And remind them to carry a camera.
This is half the stone entrance for Bogus Hill. We love this name. What happens up there?
Nothing real, we are certain.

I don’t know about you but I can’t think of any other job I would rather do less than wear a lion suit on the beach on 4th of July in 90 degree heat.
But hey, he was hugging kids all day so I guess he wasn’t all that miserable. He also stopped to take pictures with everyone.
Come to think of it he was a pretty damn joyful lion if you ask me.

This weekend finds us on the beach in East Hampton. It was a perfect 10 beach day and when I first said that this morning I was talking about the weather. Later in the day that comment took on new meaning.
Somewhere around 4 o’clock a band of beautiful people found their way in front of us and I had all sorts of fun taking pics of my friends with these incredible specimens in the background. To protect the old and perverted innocent I am only sharing a fairly anonymous shot. There are others that are so hysterical I will probably have to make them into screen savers for days when I need a good laugh.
And ladies, since I don’t want you to feel left out, here is one for you:
Ouch!
The comment of the day came from Sandy N:
“It’s like they are from a whole diffferent species.”
Indeed.
